The J Lo Controversy…

The J Lo Controversy…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but was J Lo’s performance on Britains Got Talent this week not shown after the 9pm watershed?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not denying that it was a bit racy. Anyone with half a braincell could see that, but is this seriously all some folk have to complain about? There are films on after 9pm that show scenes of a much more provocative nature than this. But as it is after 9pm, there is nothing that anyone can say or do, and so it is left.

J Lo has always been the same. She is known for her amazing ass for goodness sake. Who can blame her for getting it out?! People know what they are getting with her and I’m shocked at the backlash that she has received. I’ve no doubt that the producers would have known about the content of the routine and performance yet it is she that gets it in the neck for just doing what she does.

If the show had been on before 9pm then I can totally understand people being outraged, but the watershed is there for a purpose. And if viewers didn’t like what they were seeing, did they not think about changing the channel for a few minutes? As I’m sure this is what would happen should they stumble across ‘scenes of a sexual nature’ on any other show or film.

People are forgetting the positive side to her performance. I for one was sat thinking “good for her!” J Lo has a fantastic figure. But she’s not stick thin. She has a real woman’s shape. Hips and curves and a nice round ass! For once it made a refreshing change to not see some size 6 skeleton on the tv making me feel inferior! Surely that is promoting a better body image to the youngsters of today. No?

One thing I can be sure of. If I had an ass like J Lo’s even now, let alone at the age of 43, I wouldn’t want to cover it up. You go girl!

What do you think?
