KidloLand Children’s App – A Review (including video!)

KidloLand Children’s App – A Review (including video!)

Have you ever been in that situation where your kid is happily enjoying their special screen time treat, watching their favourite nursery rhymes on Kids YouTube or playing their favourite game that requires an internet connection, when BAM, all of a sudden, your router plays up, the kid has a melt down and insists on screaming ‘MUMMY WHY WON’T IT WORK?!’ whilst tapping away so crazily hard at the screen of your tablet, that you fear it won’t survive the day?! Well, look no further because – THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT!

KidloLand is an app for toddlers and pre-schoolers that contains over a mammoth, 575 brilliant activities for kids to enjoy.

The app is split into easy to navigate categories, of which are the following:

  • Nursery Rhymes
  • Stories
  • ABCs & Phonics
  • Games
  • Activities
  • Animal Kingdom
  • Fruits & Vegetables
  • Vehicles
  • Lullabies
  • Learning The Basics (colours, days of the week/month etc)
  • Christmas Songs

It’s bright, colourful, cheery and above all else – every single song/activity can be downloaded onto your tablet so that you can take them with you wherever you go. Whether that’s to keep the little ones quiet in a boring restaurant. A long car journey or a trip on an aeroplane. KidloLand has every kind of entertainment that your child might need.

Of course, it’s not just entertainment, but this little bundle of genius is educational at the same time. In my eyes it’s ‘safe screen time’. How can it not be when your child is learning his numbers, and his alphabet and his days of the week? And it’s a ‘win win’ because he thinks he’s getting a treat by getting the tablet in the first place! Ha ha! High five Mamma – we win the point with this one!

There is of course the standard page that us grown ups only have access to and this is accessed by having to do a simple little sum to unlock it. On this screen you manage your subscriptions, restore purchases, review the app and share it with a friend.

You can manage the songs on the download page that shows you exactly which activities you have downloaded – and then download any you may have missed all in the one place – much easier than faffing around scrolling through each category. No busy Mum I know has got time for that! Then once you’ve done all that, if you’re feeling creative you can put all your little one’s favourites into a handy little playlist so they can play them over and over and over again. I can’t guarantee that this won’t eventually irritate the life out of you – but this is for the kiddies remember?! 😉

Of course, you can’t expect this little bundle to come completely free. Whilst the initial app download is free, to access all content you will need a subscription. The cost is £29.99 for a years subscription. You can of course pay this monthly, or six monthly if you prefer. All options are available to you within the app on the ‘grown up’s page’.

Overall, I think this app is a little gem. My Ethan loves it. So much we decided to let him show you himself. So it’s over to the little man himself…

So. It gets a thumbs up from this cheeky monster and a thumbs up from Mumma too. Big thanks to Ethan for being vain enough to want to be in this video debut on my blog. Especially as it took three attempts!

Great post! The app sounds really useful. My children have Kindles so I’m going to see if this is available for that for the little one. Thanks for sharing and for linking up to #AnythingGoes Janet
