Snoreeze – A Review…

Snoreeze – A Review…

Is there anything worse than settling down in bed in the evening either to read a good book or catch up on some much needed sleep, than to be greeted with the sound similar to that of a warthog?!

I’m sure I’m not the only long term sufferer. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is pretty fed up of sleeping next to someone whose sleeping habits have the ability to drive them completely and utterly insane.

So. A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to work with Snoreeze. Needless to say I blimmin jumped at the chance! I’d tolerated my husband’s snoring for the best part of eight years and I was extremely curious to know whether there was a solution.

It’s at this point I should mention that he would regularly wake up with a sore throat after a good nights snoring  sleep. He also used to suffer with excess phlegm on waking – apologies if you’re reading this over dinner! After a quick questionnaire about the Mr’s sleeping habits and brief medical background, the lovely people at Snoreeze suggested two different types of products for him to try.

I received in the post the Snoreeze Throat Spray and the Snoreeze Oral Strips. I think my husband was as excited to give these a go as I was, so he decided on the throat spray first. The idea was to trial a week of each.

Well, on the first night of using the throat spray I thought it was a fluke. I swear to God there wasn’t a peep out of him. I sat there and listened. Peace, perfect peace. For the first time in forever, watching him sleep was quite calming. Not once did I feel the urge to thump him or push him out of bed! I prepared myself the next night for old habits to return and so on and so forth for the remaining few days, but I can honestly say, hand on heart, it didn’t happen. The throat spray was a miracle in a bottle.

The following week he tried the oral strips. He had to place them on the roof of his mouth. He wasn’t too keen, but he did it anyway, but I have to admit, these were a no go for him personally. We lasted two nights on these. I was ready to send him to the recliner sofa with a blanket just so I could get some sleep.

Needless to say the next night he went back on the throat spray and he hasn’t missed a night since. I’m scared of it running out! He no longer wakes with a sore throat and he no longer has a phlegmy presence (sorry, again!). He appears to be, dare I say it, cured?!

I don’t know what is in this little magic potion that requires one little spray to the back of the throat to make eight years of annoyance disappear and I don’t particularly care. All I know is, as soon as that bottle is running low, we are damn well going to replace it!

Snoreeze’s website has some interesting information on it about snoring, it’s causes and their products – of which there are more than the two I’ve mentioned, so if you are a sufferer or sleep next to a sufferer, I really do recommend checking it out. It also provides details of where you can buy the products.

All that is left for me to say is a huge great big thank you to Snoreeze for helping me get a decent nights sleep for the first time in years. I owe you!

Wow, sounds like miracle stuff. at the moment I cope with my wife’s racket with a well placed elbow but this might be a more diplomatic solution.

Oh no. What a shame! The oral strips weren’t good for mine at all, so I guess not all suit everyone! Maybe ear plugs?! Thanks for reading.

My husband tried both of these and neither worked, very sad! I have found though that since having our son I tend to sleep a lot easier as I’m more tired, so his snoring doesn’t disturb me so much. Glad you found something which works! #fartglitter

Ah that’s a shame. We ran out last night and I could tell the difference straight away! I’m going to have to go home via the shop!
      Thanks for reading 🙂

This is so relevant to me!

My husband snores occasionally and it’s terrible and I hate it! However, I have sinus trouble and funnily enough, over the last few weeks it’s me who is snoring keeping him awake – and sometimes I even wake myself up! It’s vile and I hate doing it and this is the first time I’ve admitted it, I mean, I’m 32, why have I suddenly developed this habit? I might try this throat spray because nothing I do seems to be preventing the snoring! (I also now drool and I found a grey hair the other day, I just thought I would inform you all whilst I was in a confessing mood). Thanks for linking up to #AnythingGoes – this was so useful! Janet 🙂
