Kids love books, don’t they?! Well, mine does. I was kindly sent a copy of the new Jungle Jam book to review for you all – Jungle Jam in Brazil.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with this series, they are written by husband and wife team Louise and Noam Lederman. I received a copy of their first book and included a copy in my Christmas Gift Guide. Head on over and take a look at that too if you fancy!
I love the Jungle Jam books because they have a music theme. This was always going to be popular with me, being the music fan that I am. I’m so pleased that the Little Man is taking such an interest in it as well. Not a day goes by when we don’t have a sing song, or a music request whilst in the car.
The Blurb From The Back
Gina the Giraffe loves being part of the Jungle Jam band but she is nervous about leaving her home and trying new things.
Follow Gina on her courageous journey and learn about the fabulous music and the culture of Brazil.
This sweet, captivating rhyming book is designed for young children as an introduction to new sounds, cultures and musical instruments.
Jungle Jam in Brazil shows children that they can do anything they want if they simply try their best and be ‘brave and strong’.
You can see from my pictures that the pictures are brightly coloured and very adorable. They are simple yet straight to the point and help tell the story at the same time.
It was a delight to read this to the Little Man. I just love rhyming books. But what I love most about this book is the message in it. Whilst, of course, it’s great to learn about other countries and the culture that comes with them, the important part of this book is the message that it’s okay to be afraid of things, but as long as we try our best and be brave and strong, we can do anything we want.
I think this is such an important message for children. Particularly for us at the moment, with Little Man starting school this September. I know nearer the time there is a chance that he may feel scared and nervous, so hopefully, this lovely little story will help me in teaching him that it’s perfectly okay to feel like this, but that he will be absolutely fine.
Jungle Jam In Brazil retails at £5.99 and you can buy it here. Whilst you’re there, be sure to check out the other things in their shop – there are some lovely packages available, including the two books for a special discounted price!
Big thanks to the lovely guys at Jungle Jam for sending me the book – it’s definitely a hit in our house!
