I’ll be honest, personally, I’m not one for ‘going Christmas shopping’. Whilst I’m no Grinch, I can’t stand the crowds at shopping centres at Christmastime. For me, there is nothing remotely fun about pushing and shoving and carrying heavy shopping bags around, not when I can get it all delivered to my door. However, this weekend we were invited along to Resorts World in Birmingham and I thoroughly enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
The Elves’ Workshop
I’ve been to Resorts World before, but this time we weren’t there to shop! (I have done all of mine after all!) We were there to take a look at the Elves’ Workshop that has been put in place especially for the children, this Christmas. And what a treat it was.
Christmas shopping is stressful at the best of times, even more so with kids in tow, so this idea is a stroke of genius. Take a friend or your partner with you, let them take the kids to the Elves’ workshop and away you go with your shopping. You get your shopping done in peace, the children get to spend some creative time in the Elves’ Workshop and everyone is happy. Problem solved.
The Elves’ Workshop is the most adorable place. Decked out with beautiful decorations, it really is like stepping into Christmas (cue music!).

With lots on offer including books to read in the story corner and lots of crafts to do and the elves are there to interact with your kiddiwinks too. Little Man had a great time. He’s very arty anyway so this was right up his street. Hand on heart I’ve never seen him sit so long without getting bored. He loved his time there and we came away with many tree decorations and fridge magnets, all decorated by his own fair hands.

The Elves’ Workshop is free and is open every weekend from 10 am until 6 pm leading up to Christmas so it’s not too late to get yourselves there to experience some of the magic yourselves.

While your there, I would highly recommend checking out their Pixal and Vortex entertainment areas. So much fun for little kids and big kids alike. Games galore and the most impressive virtual reality gaming! It’s too good an opportunity to miss!
For all things festive at Resorts World this Christmas, check out their website.
Many thanks to Resorts World for their hospitality.

That places looks amazing! I’d be willing to travel from way up here in the North East to go and see that with my Daughter. In fact, I think I may just do that next year. #TriumphantTales
Isn’t it fabulous how just once a year we can give in to the magic? Looks fun and your pics are great. #TriumphantTales
Christmas shopping isn’t a problem for me, it’s just shopping at christmas time that stresses me out, or any other time when the stores are very busy, so i shop throughout the year, but it’s getting harder now the little ones are growing so much as I’ve no idea what I buy in feb/march will fit them in dec, so from now on, it’ll be cash #triumphanttales
