There Are No Words - Wednesday Wisdom 27

When something horrific happens, as a writer, you feel compelled to write about it. But sometimes, there are no words.

What happened in Manchester on Monday night has sickened, shocked and saddened me, to the very core. Going to concerts is something I have done for years, beginning at the very age that many of the concert goers that night were. Young. Some, very young. It is the most horrendously, tragic thing to happen and I cannot even begin to comprehend…

Even though I wanted to, I can’t put down in words at this moment in time what’s gone through my head today as I have watched the news unfold in front of me.

“I wanted to write down
exactly what I felt,
but somehow
the paper stayed empty.

I could not have
described it any better.”

– WTM

My thoughts are with all of those affected by the tragic events in Manchester.

**This will be the last ‘weekly’ instalment of Wednesday Wisdom. I will still post here when a quote grabs me, or when something is appropriate, but for the time being, this will no longer be a regular weekly series.**

Such an awful thing to happen. I will never understand why someone felt the need to kill people enjoying themselves at a concert. I always find it so hard to put the thoughts into my head on to paper when things like this happen too – as you say, sometimes there are just no words #candidcuddles.
