A Few Tips on Finding a Date for This Weekend

What’s life like without a romantic relationship? Most people will agree that it’s kind of sad and lonely. We’re not saying you can’t live a happy life without a romantic relationship, but then again, we all want someone to cuddle and get cosy with. We all want love. If not to give it out to others, we all want to feel loved and appreciated.

Unfortunately, finding someone who we can completely entrust our feelings to isn’t an easy task. You can’t just sit back and relax, and expect love to find you. You have to get out of your comfort zone and find your Mr or Mrs Right.

If you’re looking for love, there’s no need to panic. Below are a few tips to help you find a date this weekend.

  1. Know what you want. To find a date, you need to find your true self first. Be authentic and real with yourself. Determine what exactly you’re looking for in your to-be-date. You may consider things such as physical appearance, fashion sense, character, etc. Know what makes you happy, and be open and confident.
  2. Get out of your comfort zone. Like we mentioned earlier, change your routine, go outdoors, go to parties, meet new people, and make friends. We’re not asking you to change your lifestyle suddenly, but you’ve got to make contact with people before you can even make friends, let alone find a date. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s an easy way to discover new things and find your soulmate.
  3. If you see someone you’re interested in, then the best thing to do is to move closer and talk to them. Look them in the eye, and let them know you’re interested in them. Start up a conversation with them. You can talk about the weather, the party (if you’re at one), ask questions (but don’t interrogate), and even give compliments.
  4. Ask your friends to set you up. It’s Wednesday. You have school or you’ve got a job with a lot of pending paperwork. You probably don’t have time to go out and meet new people, and the weekend is looming in. Don’t run out of options. Ask your friends to hook you up with that chick you’ve been eyeing for quite a while or with someone of their choice.
  5. Log in to an online dating site. With dating sites, you’re 100% likely to have a date this weekend. However, it is important to choose only trustworthy sites that have high reviews and ratings. Interestingly, dating sites now cater to different orientations. For example, Little Gay Book Community is an online platform for trans, bi, and lesbians seeking serious relationships. Finding people according to your orientation makes it easier to stick with a date. Likewise, if you’re looking for an interracial relationship, then we’d recommend Afromance. Afromance is an interracial and black dating site.
  6. Stop saying ‘NO.’ How are you supposed to get yourself a date if you keep turning down all your suitors? Say yes for a change, and see how things turn out. Make time to meet people, go out, have fun, and be happy.

Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. You might not meet someone to fall in love with this weekend, but the fact that you’re trying is good enough!
