Summer, of course, means more time spent outside and if you have a pretty garden then you are already set, but what if your garden isn’t up to much and you need to get it Summer ready before you can enjoy it? Read on for some simple ideas.
Paint your garden furniture
Is your garden furniture looking less than spritely? Is it looking a little old and tired? Why not freshen them up in a lick of paint – even better go for bold bright colours to instantly brighten up your garden on even the cloudier of Summer days. Just make sure you use a formula designed for outdoor use.
Create a focal point
Choose an area of your garden where you would love a flower bed and go for it. Make sure it’s part of the garden that gets plenty of sunlight so that your blooms can flourish. If you are unsure of where to put it or what to plant then consider speaking to a gardener who will be able to advise you. A corner of colour in your garden during the Summer will be a welcome attraction and a joy to look at every day of the week.
Outdoor lights
A garden doesn’t have to only be pretty during the daytime. There is a multitude of options when it comes to outdoor lights, from fairy lights to outdoor spotlights. Placed correctly, they can make your garden look like a twinkly dream when the sun goes down. It will make those Summer evenings in your garden even more relaxing. And the beauty is – they don’t have to cost a small fortune. You can look into installing low voltage landscape lighting to create a warm ambiance while also keeping energy costs low.
Create a comfy corner
Maybe this is the year to get that decking done that you have wanted for so long. Create a cozy corner with an outdoor sofa. Accessorise it with cushions and throws and you have the perfect relaxation station from daytime into evening. You can even go one better and invest in hammocks from Tropilex – make your garden your own little piece of paradise and relaxation. Your garden can really become an extra room in your house during the Summer months.
Don’t forget the little ones!
If you have small people in your life, don’t leave them out. Children should enjoy the garden too. Get them a cute wigwam or something similar so that they too can enjoy the Summer safely. Somewhere to go to get out of the warm sun rays and a place to call their own. If you’re lucky – they may even invite you in too!
