Me, My Boy and 21 Questions About Mummy

Me, My Boy and 21 Questions About Mummy

I have just spent a wonderful weekend with my Little Man. The husband has been away since Friday morning visiting a friend in Istanbul so for the most part, it’s been just the two of us. Once upon a time, the thought of sailing the parenting ship solo would have put the fear of God in me, but these days, I secretly love it. Especially when we have no major plans. Like today (Sunday) we have spent the day in our pyjamas just hanging out and it’s been perfect. Some might say, precious.

So to end our fab weekend, I thought I would mark it with asking him 21 questions about Mummy. Just to see what he came up with.

21 Questions About Mummy

What is something Mummy always says to you? (Giggling) ‘Don’t do that!’ if I do something wrong or naughty! Nice to see my I love yous make such an impact!

What makes Mummy happy? When I do as I’m told.

What makes Mummy sad? Me doing the wrong thing. Ever get the impression he’s a little bit of a rascal these days?

How does Mummy make you laugh? Telling funny jokes! I think he’s been dreaming because I am rubbish at telling jokes, perhaps that’s why it’s so funny!

What was Mummy like as a child? I don’t actually know! Oh – you used to say ‘are we nearly there yet?’ when going on a trip. True story.

How old is Mummy? 76! Ohhhhhkaaaaay!

How tall is Mummy? Really tall! 10ft tall? I don’t know! FYI I never quite made it to 5’5″

What is Mummy’s favourite thing to do? Play with me!

What does Mummy do when you’re not around? WORK! Yup!

If Mummy becomes famous what will it be for? Being rich! Well, wouldn’t that be nice?!

What is Mummy really good at? Games!

What is Mummy not very good at? Making stuff, like beds! I never claimed to be a domestic goddess!

What does Mummy do for her job? I wouldn’t know – something on a computer I think.

What is Mummy’s favourite food? Pizza? It’s not, be we do share one every now and again, so that’s cute.

What makes you proud of Mummy? When you earn money from working hard. Heart. Melt.

If Mummy was a cartoon character, who would she be? Minnie Mouse. I can live with that. She has great shoes!

What do you and Mummy do together? Play LEGO!

How are you and Mummy the same? We’re not. Oh, wait. By mouth, eyes and smile! The kid has his Mama’s smile, what can I say?!

How are you and Mummy different? By nose and hair because I don’t have long hair like you and my nose isn’t the same. True. Daddy got one facial feature!

How do you know Mummy loves you? Because you always say ‘I love you’.  Awwwww okay. All is forgiven!

Where is Mummy’s favourite place to go? To bed! Maybe he knows me better than I thought after all!

So that was fun. He loved answering questions and would have gladly answered more. He was certainly more enthusiastic about this than he was about his answers when I did my Interview With My Three Year Old post two and a half years ago!

Have you ever answered your small person questions like these? Give this one a go if you haven’t. Let me know if you do, I’d love to read their answers!

That was really cute! Can’t wait till my tot is that articulate. If I asked half those questions now I’d be told ‘coz’ and then something about the banana needing to fly the flying police boat #tramphanttales

This is very cute! It’d be nice to repeat the same questions each year to see how they change. I might do this with my two, being just 3 and 5 the answers might be quite funny… and varied! #TriumphantTales
