It’s that time of year again, isn’t it? You sit there scouring the internet for ideas for that one person who feels impossible to buy for and every time you draw a blank! I’m here to bring you some inspiration. Think t-shirts!
Who doesn’t wear t-shirts? Okay, admittedly this isn’t something you’re going to consider buying your Gran (although I’m not being judgemental, I’m sure there are some super trendy Grans out there!) but typically this is aimed at the younger generations (me included, thirty-plus is still young, right?!). You will always find a t-shirt for someone that captures their personality or passion. Let’s take a look at a few ideas.
Slogan t-shirts
Now I absolutely love a slogan t-shirt. You only have to take a scroll through my Instagram grid to see that. They bring our your personality while quietly, discreetly, but very obviously delivering a message at the same time.
I can literally lose hours searching for my next favourite t-shirt with a cheeky phrase that sums me up, so is this not the perfect gift for that friend who you know really well?
Not only will it be a great addition to their wardrobe but it will be a reminder to them that you know them well and have put great thought into their gift, whatever the occasion. Win-win, right?
Celebrity t-shirts
Another favourite of mine! Favourite film, favourite band, favourite cartoon? The list is endless and they’re so bang on trend at the moment, you can’t go wrong. Everyone has a favourite something and nine times out of ten you’ll find this on a t-shirt! Think, Elvis Presley (a particular favourite of mine!), Marilyn Monroe, Top Gun or Rocky Balboa – they all make awesome t-shirts without being naff.
Superhero t-shirts
Everyone loves a superhero and above anything else they are timeless. We’re talking Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hulk and Wolverine all of these characters look fantastic on the front of a t-shirt and make a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe.
Long-sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts
You can get all of these amazing ideas in long sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirt and hoodies too, so if you’re wanting to perhaps spend a little more or want to choose something that can be worn in the cooler months, then go for this option.
T-shirts will never go out of fashion. They’ve been around for years and years and they’re not going anywhere fast. They’re a staple item of anyone’s wardrobe and can be dressed up or down. Personally, if needing to smarten up a bit without taking it too far, I love to wear a t-shirt under a blazer style jacket with jeans. It’s a classic look that doesn’t date (Thank you, Carrie Bradshaw, for inspiring me all of those years ago!)
Whichever style of t-shirt you choose for that special someone, they won’t be disappointed. But I can’t guarantee that when you’re scrolling you won’t find one you want yourself too! I take no responsibility, but you’re very welcome for the idea!
