A Letter To My Younger Self….

To my younger self

Will you do me a favour? Will you try to chill out a bit? You don’t need to be so uptight and worried. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you the way you are. You’re not fat & I don’t know why you think you are. Stop comparing yourself to others and be happy with who you are.

Don’t give your heart away as easily. I’m only saying it because I know you will get hurt. The one that makes you cry isn’t worth your tears. Flattery is nice, I know, but he’s not worth the nights of tears that you’ll go through. Do yourself a favour and forget about him. Move on. Your Prince Charming is out there. I promise!

When you do find your Prince Charming, don’t forget your friends. They will have been there for you when you needed them. It’s important to remember that. It will be easy to get caught up in the throws of a new relationship but please remember where you were before that.

Be nice to Mum & Dad. When you’re eventually a Mum yourself (yes you will have a baby! A beautiful baby at that!) you will realise SO MUCH! You will know why they are so protective over you. You will understand why they want the best for you. It’s hard to believe now, but trust me on this one. You’ll see.

Look after your money! I can’t stress about this enough. It’s hard earned and easily spent. You started earning young. Save some! You’ll need it one day.

Oh & seriously, don’t use that Sun In stuff on your hair, you’ll regret it! 😉

And stop worrying. There’s no point. Be happy.

Your older self. X

Ps. Keep as many shoe boxes over the years as you can. I’ve a feeling you’ll need them one day…..

    Fab post hun!
Wouldn’t it be fab to write a letter to yourself to open in the future, too??
James & I actually did this. I read somewhere that its a lovely idea to keep your relationship fresh and a reminder of how you once felt. So we wrote letters to each other a couple of years ago, they’re taped up safe in a cupboard and we’re not to open them for another couple of years. It’ll be so fun to read them back! 🙂
