Warm colours

Colours can influence your mood more than you probably realise. They can encourage creativity and soothe the mind. As I mentioned before, you don’t have to redecorate to incorporate a new colour into your bathroom, you could change up your towels and accessories instead. Choose warm colours like soft blues or yellows. These colours are closely related to water and sunshine which enhances peace and cheer, therefore they are likely to trigger similar emotions in you.

Of course, if you do want to redecorate your bathroom, there is absolutely no reason why you can’t use these colours on the walls too.

Add plants

Adding a lavender plant to your window sill or propping it in a spot that gets the most sunlight will maximise its benefits – a stress and anxiety reliever.

Peace lilies are ideal for the bathroom. Not only are they extremely low maintenance but they are great for keeping your air clean by absorbing the compounds in the air.

Choose your accessories

Think about the accessories you could have in your bathroom – think candles and sumptuous rugs. Creative pictures or art frames can keep your space open and your mind happy.

Clean regularly

It sounds like a bit of a no brainer but by keeping your bathroom clean it can have lasting positive impacts on you and your family. Be sure to get rid of any bathroom products that you haven’t used in over 6 months. Declutter the space and move products off the window sill and into organised drawers. Small steps like this can have a big impact.
