Well, here we are. I feel like I’ve been working towards this post for the last few weeks. The last post of the year and the one full of Christmas cheer!
It’s been a busy old few weeks. Work with the blog has been thick and fast and while I am always grateful that my little corner of the internet is doing so well, it can sometimes be a little overwhelming. Sometimes I think I need a few extra hours in my day or even an extra day in the week. But with a little organisation, I have managed to get all of the work done and I am ready to switch off over the Christmas period.
I last had a break in October when we went to Portugal and it really does do wonders to take important time out and recharge those batteries.
It’s been a wonderful year. I launched the #TriumphantTales linky with the lovely Lianne from Mrs Mummy Harris and we have stacked up a massive 42 linky posts since March this year alone! That wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for all of the wonderful bloggers that join us each week to share their posts. We love hosting the linky and are very much looking forward to more next year. There may be a few changes along the way as in case you didn’t already know, Lianne is expecting twins next year! I know she wants to carry on with it for as long as possible but there will come a time where she needs to have a break. But I will be here to carry on and I may enlist some help if I need to. We will see how it goes.
I have had lots of great experiences thanks to this blog this year. Nights out at Resorts World in Birmingham. An overnight stay at Walton Hall for a beautiful wedding. Delicious meals out at various pubs and restaurants and trips out for the Little Man to enjoy too. And of course, that doesn’t include all of the wonderful items that I included in this years Christmas Gift Guides.
The benefits of running a blog are wonderful, of course, but it doesn’t come without its hard work, commitment and dedication. As I know a lot of you reading will understand.
This is why I hope my readers who are fellow bloggers enjoy a well-deserved rest this Christmas. And of course, to those of you who don’t tap the keyboard keys in your spare time like us, I hope you have a restful holiday too.
Christmas is such a special time of year. A time for making memories and enjoying each other’s company. A time for eating, drinking and being merry and of course, when possible a time for giving as well as receiving.
I want to take the opportunity to wish all of my readers a very Happy Christmas and say a huge thank you at the same time for continuing to come back here to read my words. It means more than you can imagine.
You can catch me on Twitter over the Christmas holidays but until the New Year, this is me signing out.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas, and a fabulous New Year!
See you in 2018!
