Gadgets For Hunting And Airsoft

Hunting and airsoft are two quite different activities, but they both benefit from having the right devices and gear in place. When you have the right equipment, then it makes the experience more fun and adds a sense of realism to it. What devices should you be using in 2026?

Smart range finding binoculars

One of the biggest developments in recent years has been the introduction of smart range-finding binoculars. These can tell you how far you are away from a particular point in the landscape or an animal. There are all sorts of products on the market right now, including the Vortex Talon 10K. This uses laser range-finding up to 2,000 yards. The nice thing about this technology is that you can use it with a night vision or thermal overlay, especially if you have a Sordin to Peltor adapter kit for your helmet.  You can get complete tactical information even at night time.

Trail cameras and spotting scopes

Related to this, you might want to use trail cameras and spotting scopes. These have high resolution and connectivity with mobile devices when you want to spot game. They are also handy if you are in a battlefield situation and want to target other players on the opposing team.

Headset comms

Headset communication devices are also improving as electronics shrink and more can be fitted into a single chassis. These days, headsets combine with tactical rigs and vests as well as protective gear, including helmets and full face masks. These communication systems are standard fittings on existing gear, allowing you to insert packages into your loadouts without having to completely redesign your kit.

Of course, if you’re planning to use headset comms, you’ll need to practice in advance. Getting used to these takes a bit of time, and you’ll need good radio manners.

High-tech rifles

We also need to think about the types of rifles and weaponry that we use, especially if you’re looking at airsoft in 2026. You’ll need GBB/HBA for realism, plenty of protective gear, and perhaps accessories like tracers.

Right now, there are some high-quality pistols available, including the Tokyo Marui. This offers fast cycling and decent aftermarket support. You could also look into getting the Elite Force licensed Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS in the CO2 version. This has good realism and performance, especially at range. If that isn’t an option for you or you’re looking for a beginner rifle, then you might want to check out the ASG CZ Scorpion EV03. This rifle has a programmable trigger and will tell you when the magazine is empty, which adds convenience.

Hunting blinds

Lastly, you might want to explore the world of hunting blinds. These keep your position secret while allowing you to scope targets in your environment. There are all sorts of high-tech hunting blinds these days that offer 270° views. They also come with sound damping and other noise mitigation measures that don’t spook other participants in your environment.

So which of these gadgets are you going to try?
