As you read this we will have reached the end of the first week of our first ever six week summer holidays. And with any luck, we will have survived! We have had a lovely week and despite it being so hot, I’m so pleased that the weather has held. I was convinced that the minute the bell rang last Friday it would start raining, and even though we need it, it’s been nice that it’s held off.
On Monday this week, we visited Cotswold Lavender at Snowshill, near Broadway. Nestled in the Cotswolds and just a short drive from home, it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go and visit. Not only is it a bloggers rite of passage, getting those all-important lavender field photographs, it made a nice change to do something that wasn’t ridiculously expensive, and that was close to home.

It was great to get out and about and spend time with my wonderful Mum. I knew she would enjoy it, so was thrilled when she said she would like to come with us. And of course, Little Man was over the moon too.

I didn’t even know there are so many different types of lavender! Every day certainly is a school day! And who knew there was lavender that was white?!

We were lucky to visit the Cotswold lavender fields before they finished harvesting. They have already done a lot and will be doing the rest very soon. I’m certainly going to be putting a reminder in my calendar to go again next year. Who knows whether we will be as lucky with the weather though?
We couldn’t end the trip without a lavender selfie! I don’t get many photos with my Mum, so this one is special.

Have you been to a lavender field this year? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear where you have been.

We live really close to Yorkshire Lavender but haven’t been for a while. It would cost us £18 or so for all six of us to get in, and frankly, I’m not sure it’s worth it to alk around. That being said, I REALLY want to get some awesome shots of the girls in the lavender so maybe, after all, it is worth it.

What gorgeous photos! I didn’t know there was somewhere near Stratford that had lavender fields. Our nearest place is about an hour away which I thought was a bit far when the kids would probably not give a monkeys!! Thanks for hosting #triumphanttales x
What a beautiful place to visit. Thanks for sharing it. Very lovely. #Triumphanttales
Great photos! We were in the Cotswolds on holiday a few years ago and did think about visiting the Lavender fields. Looks like we missed out! Maybe next time. #TriumphantTales
Those colors are amazing! I bet this was a lovely place to visit. #triumphanttales
These are such stunning photos. I really want to visit the Lavender fields. The Cotswolds is one of my fave UK regions x #TriumphantTales
we don’t have anything like that as far as I’m aware here in the States but it looks pretty cool. I think the closest I could get to that is a cranberry bog. lol #triumphanttales
I’d love to visit the lavender fields but they would trigger my migraines, so I’m afraid i have to stay away, they do look very pretty though #triumphanttales
Lovely photos and those lavender bushes are beautiful #triumphanttales
Love the smell of lavender. I have been known to rub a little lavender between my fingers and offer them to my girls to smell. #TriumphantTales
Your photos are so stunning, I can practically smell the lavender. xoxo #triumphanttales xoxo
These are some amazing photos,I’m one of those weirdos who can’t stand the smell of lavender so I don’t think I’ll be doing this anytime soon!!#triumphanttales
