I have lost count how many nights I have had difficulty getting to sleep this year. Seriously. I hit a brick wall with it and I was seeing 2 and 3am far too frequently. Great – for getting plenty of blogging in – not so great when your three year old wakes you at 6am – or earlier! I was starting to feel rubbish the next day and it became apparent it was because of my lack of decent sleep. Then, a miracle happened. A miracle in the form of an email from the lovely people at Leesa asking if I would like to try one of their innovative mattresses – the Leesa Mattress. Of course I said yes and I’ve since come to realise that sleep is so, so important and that the right mattress is definitely key!
The Leesa Mattress has three unique foam layers that work together to offer a feel that adjusts to the body of each individual, it provides the correct comfort and support, as well an airflow system that prevents overheating at night. It isn’t a memory foam mattress – it provides all the benefits of a memory foam – but without that ‘sinking feeling’ or the ‘sleeping hot’ experience you may have had.
The mattresses have three layers (15 cm core support, 5cm contouring foam, 5cm cooling foam) and what makes Leesa different is the top layer of Avena foam. It’s similar to latex, but latex free – so it’s also suitable for those with latex allergies – bonus!
Enough of the science. You want to know how I got on, right?
Well, I ordered my mattress and it was made to order – impressive, I know. What’s even more impressive is that less than a week later it arrived – in a box! I could even move it myself!
I know at this point you are probably thinking ‘How can a mattress possibly come in a box?!’ Well stick with me and I’ll show you.
Once the mattress was on the bed we proceeded to remove the plastic wrapping and roll it out. Then it just literally expanded before our very eyes. In no time at all.
I can honestly say that hand on heart, this is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on – and I am not just saying that. It’s cosy, it’s comfortable, it’s cool and finally – I can sleep.
I can’t tell you how happy this mattress has made me. I can even tolerate the slight smell that comes with it – that I have been assured disappears over time. But I wouldn’t care even if it didn’t. The comfort is insane. Their layers are just super cozy and if you are curious about their coolness, firmness and the different layers it has before purchasing see a review of Leesa. I am sure you won’t be disappointed especially with their delivery. It wasn’t just me who was happy with our delivery either. Obviously, the husband is pretty content – but you can’t fake a smile like the ones in these pictures.
Because Leesa mattresses can’t be trialed in-store and are made to order, they offer you a 100 night trial and if you are not sleeping better within 100 nights, they will donate the mattress to charity and you will receive a full refund. They also plant a tree for every mattress sold, to help offset their carbon footprint. All round good eggs if you ask me!
Now there’s no need to be completely jealous of me, because Leesa are offering you, my readers, £50 off a mattress of your choice – if you follow this link, you will be presented with your special JakiJellz code and could be days away from getting the best nights sleep you’ve ever had.
All that’s left to say is a big thank you to Leesa – you saved my sanity with your wonderful mattress and I can finally sleep easy.
