The #SlimFastChallenge

Today is the day. Today is the day I begin my fourteen day #SlimFastChallenge. I was contacted by the lovely people at Slim.Fast asking me if I would like to take part in the challenge, and I jumped at the chance. It is perfect timing with me training for the Race For Life and I’ve been wanting to shift a few extra pounds for a while so I thought this would be perfect. So here we are.

I’m very excited. As I’ve mentioned in other blog posts, I’ve never managed to shift the last few pounds of baby weight after having my little boy almost two and a half years ago, so I’m really hoping that this will send me well on my way. I’m only just over the ideal BMI for my height so this little plan should at least get me in the healthy range again. Which is obviously more important than appearances anyway – but looser jeans will be a bonus, right?! For those of you who don’t know, the Slim.Fast 3-2-1 plan consists of meal replacement shakes and bars in a variety of flavours, and snacks both sweet and savoury. Next week I’ll detail what flavours are available and the ones I’m enjoying. So the plan really is in the title. You have three snacks a day, either fruit, veggies or a Slim.Fast snack, all of which are 100 calories or under. You have two meal replacements a day and then a balanced meal at night of around 600 calories (or 800 for men). This is ideal for me as I’m always on the go with my little toddler. No planning involved. Suits me just perfect! My aim is to lose around 6lb over the next couple of weeks. I will incorporate exercise on most days to help it along (along with my 5k training runs), as I have been doing so up until now anyway, recently. But taking part in a ‘challenge’ will encourage me more on those days when I just can’t be bothered or am lacking in energy. You’ll see below I’ve included a ‘before’ photo (that was a hard photo to take!) so let’s wait and see what the ‘after’ one will be like in a couple of weeks time.

Wow. 2 stone is brilliant. I think the same thing can get boring can’t it? It’s nice to try something different. I’ll let you know how I get on! X

I did weightwatchers too and I got stuck in a rut after loosing a stone! I started this last Tuesday so after only being on it six days with a meal and night out I lost 2lbs on slim fast and hopefully more this week! Good luck every one! X

  3. […] Fourteen days ago I took a photo of myself before I embarked on the SlimFast Challenge. You’ll find all the details about the actual challenge in my initial post. You can find that here.  […]
