Is the man in your life feeling a little fed up with his appearance or the contents of his wardrobe? Perhaps you’re the one thinking he could do with a makeover but don’t want to offend him in the process? In this article, we are going to look at how to give your man a makeover without upsetting him.
Go through his wardrobe with him
In the beginning, suggest having a clear out of both of your wardrobes, this way it’s not all about him. There is a good chance that there are a lot of clothing items sitting there that he never even thinks about wearing. Once the two of you go through his wardrobe and get rid of the clothes that he never wears, he just might feel inspired to go out and make some cool, new additions – and this is where you can assist!
Get him to look for inspiration
Us girls have fashion icons and men aren’t that different. Is there a male celebrity that your man admires it could be a really good way to get him to experiment with a new look. Is he a fan of David Beckhams look? Perhaps he likes the way that Tom Hardy can carry off a three-piece suit on the red carpet. (If he does, Suits Men have a great selection!) Pick out a few things that the chosen celebrity does that you think would work really well for your man and suggest he try it out too. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
Accessories & a new haircut
One of the quickest and easiest ways to have a makeover – as we know is to get a new haircut. Perhaps you could encourage your man to try the same? Small changes can make a huge difference to someone’s appearance and it can feel like a breath of fresh air all at the same time.
Some new accessories can make an impact too. One of the quickest and coolest ways could be a new pair of sunglasses. They are easy to pull off but can completely take an outfit from basic to edgy in seconds. In terms of style, picking classic styles are always going to be the safest, like some cool aviators. Think Tom Cruise in Top Gun – he always looked cool!
So there we have a few ideas that will help both you and your man with getting him a little makeover without being too over the top and in your face. This way, it won’t hurt his feelings.

I think I’m quite lucky to say my OH doesn’t really need one. But great tips! #TriumphantTales
I don’t think I’d try this, as I don’t think I’d like it done to me. That said, my husband is pretty attentive to his appearance – I’m more quirky in my style so I’m probably the one that needs ‘fixing’ to look like someone my age and in his circles (Sydney is very tribe based – his is East and mine is Inner West – think yuppie vs boho) #Triumphanttales
Or go down the bar and find a new man! I jest of course! #TriumphantTales Oh and I think sunglasses make us all look better
Good suggestions, though I’m fairly sure that my hubby would resist most of these, haha. I know he’d like to get a haircut, but he can’t figure out what style to go for, and nothing I suggest seems to help… Oh well, eventually he’ll probably go bald and that’ll be that problem solved, lol 🙂 x #TriumphantTales
