Successful Women; A Belated Blog Birthday – Wednesday Wisdom 21

Successful Women; A Belated Blog Birthday - Wednesday Wisdom 21

There have been quite a few blog birthdays over the last week and it’s been so lovely to see so many successful fellow bloggers celebrating their achievements. As I’ve previously mentioned on this blog, in various posts, I have been blogging here for the last four years but only consistently for the last year. I knew that my first official blog birthday was around this time, but I was pretty convinced it was next month. Yesterday I checked. It turns out JakiJellz was born on 23rd March 2016 – I have missed my first official blog birthday!

Needless to say I was gutted. Had I been more organised I would have had a proper online celebration, maybe even done a couple of giveaways. But unfortunately, I do feel like I’ve missed the boat now and so I am celebrating now, albeit a little late, in the form of this blog post.

I’ve thanked my fellow bloggers before in a post called Big Up The Bloggers. That was early on in my blogging journey of the last twelve months. Nothing can really prepare you for just how much hard work is involved in running a blog – if of course you want it to be a success. All of a sudden, you find yourself up to your eyes in talk of DA’s, PA’s, SEO and any other number of blogger jargon. It can be overwhelming to say the least. You can feel totally out of your depth and wonder where to turn and what to do next.

I have to say, if it hadn’t been for the amazing help and support of my fellow blogger buddies, I’m not sure I would be sat here writing this post one year on. I’ll be honest. When I bought the domain a year ago, I did think “Is this a waste of money?”. Knowing that I had stopped and started on this blogging journey so many times before – why would this time be any different?

If I’m honest, I don’t know the answer to that question. This was just my time. But what I do know, is that I have had a tremendous amount of help and guidance from those successful bloggers before me. Those amazing, knowledgeable, fabulous bloggers who have been on hand to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. And now I find myself here, the owner of a one year old successful blog and in the position that I am now the one that some newer bloggers are coming to for advice. Who knew?!

So my Wednesday Wisdom this week is for all of you beauties out there that have helped me. You know who you are.

“Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back!”

Thank you to all of you that have helped me along the way. Thank you to those who have chosen me as a featured blogger and thank you to all of you who have ever shared one of my blog posts. Thank you to all of my readers and thank you to those who come back week after week. You all mean more than you realise.

This weekend I’m going to have a glass (or bottle) of Prosecco and toast JakiJellz a Happy First Birthday. I wouldn’t be doing that without all of you. So thank you, so very much.

See you next week.
