The (Not Big Or Fat) Quiz Of The Year

The (Not Big Or Fat) Quiz Of The Year

As I find myself easing my way back into blogging nice and gently now the New Year is here, I was delighted to be tagged in Laura’s ‘(Not Big Or Fat) Quiz Of The Year’ post. Laura blogs over at Wafflemama and you should all check her out because she’s fabulous. She also runs a lovely little linky on a Friday called the #FriYAYlinky. I know you all love a good linky so you should stop by some time!

Anyhow, without further ado – thank you Laura and here are my answers. Drumroll please…

WHAT WAS YOUR HIGHLIGHT OF 2016?

Without doubt our fabulous holiday to Portugal. Two weeks of bliss with the loves of my life. I wrote a little post about it.

NAME ONE THING YOU ARE MOST LIKELY TO REMEMBER ABOUT 2016 IF ASKED IN FIVE YEARS TIME?

Sadly, but I think it’s safe to say 2016 was a year of unbelievable news stories. From celebrity deaths to scary politics. That is of course if the next five years don’t supersede that. Blimey – that doesn’t even bear thinking about! Let’s move on…

SUM UP 2016 IN ONE WORD.

Busy!

NAME ONE PEARL OF WISDOM FROM 2016 THAT YOU WILL CARRY WITH YOU THROUGH 2017?

To totally have faith in myself! I’ve grown this blog baby so much in the last nine months and had so much praise. I didn’t ever really think I was particularly good at anything before, but perhaps I might be changing my opinion on that now. It’s going well.

DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS?

I don’t. I don’t like them. I think they involve too much pressure. I think it’s important to take one day at a time when it comes to wanting to achieve something. There’s a little gem of a quote over on my latest Wednesday Wisdom that discusses this.

HOW DID YOU SEE IN THE NEW YEAR?

We were meant to be settling down to a M & S Dine In For Two and watch Robbie Rock Big Ben whilst seeing in the New Year. But we ended up at our neighbours! It was a lovely evening. I spent the first day of 2017 feeling guilty that my little man had had a super late night and how it was very irresponsible of me – but he was fine! I was being too hard on myself. He’s older now and can do things like that from time to time!

WHAT WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO DO IN 2017?

There are so many concerts I want to get to, sadly getting to all of them will be impossible. I want to try and get to see my beloved Robbie and hopefully McFly will tour again. I also hope to get away for a week in the Summer with my boys. We are planning a week in the UK this year – hopefully the Isle of Wight as it’s a place full of brilliant childhood memories. I want to make some more with my own little family. Little man starts school this year too, so I want to try and get through that without having an emotional mummy breakdown!

WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN GOALS FOR 2017?

I want to complete my Social Media Diploma course. Do the best I can in a new role at work and just keep on working hard on this blog. I am striving to get more page views so will be working hard on achieving that – but one day at a time! Blogging is a marathon – not a sprint!

Vikki, Maria and Naomi – as requested, you have been tagged and so it’s over to you! I can’t wait to see your answers!

I regularly link up to these lovely linkys.

Aw thanks Sarah. It’s nice to know that others can see how much work has gone into it. When you look at it every day you get so used to it you can get a bit blasé. Thanks so much. X
