Advice on the best time to go
You can visit the area at any point during the spring. But, the month of April is probably the best time to go.
Normally, by then the worst of the cold weather has passed and it does not rain too much. The flowers are in bloom and a lot of the local attractions, restaurants, bars and hotels will have finished any restoration work. Plus, most of the attractions that close for the winter will have reopened by then.
You also need to bear in mind that it gets crazy busy and a bit expensive during the Easter Break. If you want to know more about the events that are being held in and around the area when deciding when to visit, you can easily do so online.
