Clear Rejection – Wednesday Wisdom 22

A clear rejection is always better than a fake promise.

It’s with certainty that I say we have all likely experienced some form of rejection in our lives. Sadly, it’s all part and parcel of life. We will not always be wanted or needed by those that we want or need. This results in the feeling of rejection.

Rejection can feel isolating and lonely. It can feel even worse when if along with the rejection come unanswered questions or withheld information, leaving you not knowing why you were rejected in the first place. Exclusion can happen when you are rejected. You may be excluded from occasions that were once a given, with no good reason or explanation. Thus leaving you feeling left out. Ostracized. Disregarded.

It’s not a nice feeling. Far from it.

But as with all quotes in this Wednesday Wisdom series, I like to turn a negative into a positive.

“A clear rejection is always better than a fake promise”

Okay so you were rejected by someone, or perhaps more than one person. You were excluded from something that you might have expected to be involved in. You weren’t told why. It just happened.

Wouldn’t you rather be rejected than have been involved in a situation that was fake? Wouldn’t you prefer to be swamped by authenticity than surrounded in false benevolence? I know what I would choose.

We don’t need to be in situations that will have a negative impact on our lives. We don’t need those kind of people in our lives. We need genuinity. We need legitimacy. We need kindness and dependability. We don’t need people who don’t need or want us.

So next time you find yourself in this kind of situation. don’t dwell on it. The person or people that have made you feel this way do not deserve your thoughts. There is a reason it happened in the first place, and that reason will be more beneficial for you in the long term. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. You deserve more. You deserve better. Go get it.

Thanks for reading.

Love that quotation! I’m with you. It’s so much better to know where you stand and start dealing with it than to be left hanging. Thanks for the insight! #SharingtheBlogLove

So agree with you on this. Sometimes it’s easier to separate ourselves from it than others mind. #FamilyFun

You know I’ve not heard that saying before but it’s actually a really good one with lots of merit. I will definitely be keeping in mind going forward. Thanks for joining us at #familyfun

That’s such a great attitude – I’ve never thought about it that way, but it makes perfect sense and is really helpful to focus on moving forward. Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove

What a great way to look at it. I alway see it as a negative thing and upsetting, but to focus on it like this seems so much more positive. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
