Childhood memories…

The inspiration for this post came as I was sat one evening talking to my miniature human about toys I had as a kid. He’s got to the stage where he’ll see adverts on the TV and ask whether I had that when I was a little girl. Of course, the odd thing will come up when I say ‘yes’ but these days, toys aren’t like what they used to be… (I sound how old right now?!)

So I ended up flicking through Pinterest showing him toys I had and he was surprisingly fascinated. For a while. Then he got bored. I didn’t. I kept on scrolling through and before I knew it I’d stepped back in time twenty to thirty years and so this post idea was born.

If you’re anywhere between thirty and forty-ish I’m sure this post will bring back a few memories for you as it has me. There’s things featured below I had totally forgotten about prior to my mad Pinterest session and things that I hold a strong memory in my mind. Either way, all that’s featured I loved at some point during my childhood/early teens, otherwise known as the 80s and 90s.

I’m sure I’ve missed LOADS. I’ll probably end up doing a part two! This has been a really nice post to research. There’s a lot of happy memories up there!

PS. Someone PLEASE tell me they remember the Top Ten diaries in the 90’s? I had them year after year. You had to write the Top Ten music chart in it every week? I can’t find an image online anywhere… 🙁
