“I love you more”. It’s a phrase that’s been an ongoing giggle between me and my better half. We’ve said it since the very early days. I’ve never really thought about it in any other way other than what it sounds like. “I love you more!” Like it’s a competition. Today when researching my Valentine’s inspired Wednesday Wisdom, I can across this perfect quote.
“When I say I love you more, I don’t mean I love you more than you love me. I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us, I love you more than any fight we will ever have. I love you more than the distance between us, I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us. I love you the most.”
It says and means so much more than I could ever explain. Marriage and partnerships are never easy. There are so many things that come along to test your relationship. There are good times. There are great times. There are amazing times. But there are hard times too. Sometimes, really hard times. This quote says it all. That throughout it all, so long as you love each other more than any of the bad stuff, then that’s all that matters.
So Mr J. I love you more. Always have. Always will.
