Finding A Wedding Venue To Fit Your Budget: Top Tips For Thrifty Brides

When it comes to wedding planning, it’s easy to assume that for most couples, finding and booking the right wedding venue for your big day can be the most rewarding (but also most stressful) part of the process. There are so many things to factor in, from guest capacity to food and drink, all made harder when booking on a budget. So, we thought we’d put together our top tips for thrifty brides looking to find their dream wedding venue on a budget!

Look For Special Offers

Most wedding venues will have a special offers page on their website that they update regularly with new special offers. So, if you have a particular venue in mind, look out for this as it could be a massive help if you’re booking on a budget. It also wouldn’t hurt to ask the event’s planner that you’re allocated about limited budgets and we’re sure they’d be happy to help!

Allow Some Wiggle Room When Budgeting

When it comes to budgeting for weddings, it’s always good to allow for some wiggle room for big wedding budget factors (venues, food, accommodation etc.), so that, if need be, you can spend that little bit more money to book the venue of your dreams. If you plan for it prior to viewing the venue, you’ll never go over budget!

Think Of Location

Unsurprisingly, the location of the wedding venue in question may dramatically affect the price you pay for your big day! For example, wedding venues in Manchester city centre will probably be more expensive than venues on the outskirts. Try and look for venues that are further out from the hustle and bustle for a cheaper venue. Keep this in mind whilst planning for your wedding on a budget!

Get Married Mid-Week

Anyone planning a wedding should know that Thursday through to Sunday tend to be the most expensive days to get married on, as well as getting married during peak wedding season (June – August) in the summertime when the weather tends to be on its best behaviour. So, if you’d like to save some money when finding your perfect wedding venue, but don’t want to have a small wedding, think about getting married outside of peak outside on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Have A Smaller Wedding (Ceremony)

The easiest way to save money when finding your wedding venue is to plan for a smaller wedding, as the more guests you have, the more people you’ll have to cater for. Oftentimes, wedding venues add additional costs for extra guests. So, if you can plan for a small wedding party, it will definitely help you save money on top of booking your wedding venue!

Without thorough research and planning prior to searching for your wedding venue, the process can be difficult. So, we hope you take this blog into consideration when you and your partner eventually find the time to look for your dream venue. Happy planning!
