Introducing My New Balayage

That’s right folks. If you hadn’t already guessed by the pictures, I’ve got myself a new ‘do’. Let me introduce you to my new balayage!

I’ve been many colours over the years  I’ve written one or two blog posts about it and in all honesty just lately I’ve been really bored with my blonde locks.

Not only have I been a bit bored but the upkeep when you’re naturally dark is hard work. It was time for something new.

I’d seen these styles becoming popular over the last couple of years and in all honesty I never even considered it for myself. Then out of the blue, I thought ‘why not?!’ I spoke with my hairdresser, she agreed it would suit me and the rest is history.

Today (Saturday) we did it. This transformation took less time than a half head of foils! Unbelievable really!

I love that I have my natural (or as near as we can tell) colour at my roots and the darker blonde highlights joining up with my old colour. The colours flow so beautifully into each other. I’ve a texture to my hair that I’ve never had before. I love it.

My hairdresser gave me a bigger treat by giving me some lovely loose curls too. Curls never used to last in my poker straight mane but I’m getting a curling wand and I’m going to experiment because I love this look.

I’m super pleased with the new look. I think it’s taken a couple of years off me and I think the overall look is of a softer appearance.

A before and after (or more an after and before!)

I’m going to be brave now and ask you what you think?! Let me know in the comments!

Your hair looks great, although I don’t know what balayage means. But it must be something good lol #dreamteam

Haha thanks. It’s basically two or three tone hair. So it was all blonde before but now I have darker roots which gradually blends into the blonde! 🙂

Gorgeous! I’ve been having balayage for the last two years now and it’s the longest I’ve ever kept a hair colour! It’s so versatile and the regrowth is no longer an issue…apart from the greys creeping in! #twinklytuesday

I’ve been assured there was no grey under there – thank goodness!! I do love it though – blonde was soooo high maintenance – it’s like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for reading 🙂

Ah thanks. I’m embracing the darker colour, so much so I want a little more next time! It’s so much less maintenance – always a good thing! 🙂

Ah thanks Laura. I bought myself some tongs and have been practicing when I have the time (yeah right!) – I’m getting there. I am so pleased with it. x

I love the new look! It’s fun to have a change of colour. And I know what you mean, I used to have a lot of blonde highlights but it’s too much work when the dark roots are showing all the time! Thank you for linking up with us at #BloggerClubUK
