A Photofantastic Gift…

Back in January it was the Mr’s birthday and I wanted to get him something really lovely from little EJ. Something different. He isn’t the easiest of people to buy for and so I had my work cut out trying to come up with something. I scouted about and came up with dead end after dead end and eventually stumbled onto Groupon. Then it hit me. The perfect present.

I bought a session for a family photo-shoot at a local photography studio. The deal was for an hours photo-shoot and two 8 x 10 prints. We’d had one done the previous year and were thrilled with the results and so I was confident that he would love it. And he did.

We went for the photo-shoot back at the end of May and we had lots of fun. We were in there for an hour and EJ spent most of the time laughing, giggling and running around whilst the photographer snapped away capturing every moment. She was fabulous with him and even though he began to get tired towards the end he was still smiling and I just knew that choosing those final two pictures was going to be an incredibly hard job!

I wasn’t wrong. A few days later I went back and had to cut forty two shots down to two.

I know, right?!

Well I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t do it and I did end up spending a bit more money than I had planned and I came away with four individual prints, plus those four and two additional ones on a USB to do with what I please. We can have them reprinted. Put on to canvases. Onto cards for Christmas. Gifts for family – anything, because the copyright now belongs to us.

We have some plans for the pictures but haven’t done anything with them just yet so in the mean time, I wanted to share them with you guys. I’m so pleased with them. They capture the fun that was has on the day and the complete and utter beauty of my little boy that I can keep forever.

If you’re ever stuck for an idea for a present, have a look on Groupon for one of these because not only are they a personal present but one that you can all enjoy for years to come. I’ve a feeling that this may become a yearly thing. What a lovely addition to the already growing memory box of photos we already have of out little superstar. I hope you enjoy them. Thank you for reading.
