A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be selected by Tornado to receive some gourmet meals from a company called Everdine.
Everdine provides cooked and frozen, clean, healthy gourmet meals that can be ready within ten minutes – in the microwave. Think micro meals – but ones that are good for you!
Things are quite hectic in our house. The husband and I rarely eat together (sad but true!). He’s a bit of a gym freak at the moment and currently spends five out of seven nights in the gym and his meals are very specific, and if I’m honest, don’t appeal to me! Because of this, I have recently been finding myself not eating until ten o’clock at night and at that time, it’s far too late to cook anything! So, you can imagine, when I heard about Everdine, for me, it seemed like the perfect solution.
Everdine have menu’s that you choose from and once placed, you can pick the date that you want the food delivered – yes, that’s right. Courier delivered right to your door! They come really well packed so there is no fear of any of your food getting damaged.
For the purpose of this review, I decided to prepare the Lamb Kofta with Roast Onion Bulgur Wheat. I’m a big fan of Lamb and so was really looking forward to trying it. I have already tried the Pulled Beef Ragu Spaghetti and it was really lovely.
This meal took just EIGHT minutes to prepare in an 900-watt microwave, with a stir half way through. As you can see on the box, it is Lamb Kofta with Roast Onion Bulgur Wheat with Charred Butternut Squash and Peppers. If you prefer, you can cook these in the oven as well, but obviously it does take a little bit longer.
I can honestly say, this meal was delicious and tastes nothing like any kind of microwave meal I have ever had. In fact, you wouldn’t even know it was a pre-cooked frozen meal.
You won’t find these kind of recipes in the supermarket. It has completely changed my eating habits and it’s so nice to know that I can have something healthy, quickly and I don’t have to worry about buying all of the ingredients in. Because, I would never cook this kind of thing myself.
Everdine are offering my readers a massive 25% OFF their first order of Everdine meals which you can use by clicking this link: https://www.everdine.co.uk/your-curated-meal-plan-is-here/tornado
How do you manage your meals if you don’t eat at the same time, or eat the same things as your partner or family? Let me know in the comments.
*I was provided with the meals from Everdine in return for an honest review. Many thanks to Tornado and Everdine for the opportunity.
