Mermaid glitter for nails

Mermaid glitter for nails

I’m inspired to write this post because last weekend I was given the prettiest nails I’ve ever had.

I went for my usual six weekly appointment of overlay infills (six weeks to most will sound crazy! I maintain them myself in the interim – I’m lucky to be able to!) and treated myself to a gel polish. As much as I love doing my own nails, it’s nice not to have to think about it every now and again.

I’ve recently started going to Simply Nails & Beauty in Warwick. I followed my nail tech, Ashlee there when she got a new job. She’s been doing my nails for the last twelve months or so. Ashlee was on holiday so Georgia did my nails and what a beautiful job she has done.

Simply Nails are an award winning salon that not only do nails and beauty but also nail training. What a fabulous place. They offer such a huge choice of nail colour and designs including nail gems and nail art. And also, my favourite, glitter.

They frequently share their work on their Facebook page which is really handy! I’m always finding myself having a look to get some nailspiration! The night before my appointment was no different as I tried to decide what colour/design to go for.

I finally decided on Skin to Skin gel polish with a mermaid glitter.

Skin to Skin is a nude colour gel and Mermaid glitter is exactly what it says. It’s an iridescent glitter that gives the effect of more than one colour. Like what you’d find on a mermaids tail. The sparkle is to die for. The beauty of it is, it can look different over every colour. It can never get boring.

Mermaid glitter looks different over every colour polish

I wasn’t disappointed with my choice. I can’t stop looking at them. They are so, so pretty.

I’ve a feeling a glitter manicure may become a regular thing in my world. After all. We all need a little sparkle in our lives, isn’t that right girls?

This isn’t a sponsored post, but if you are local to Warwick or are visiting anytime, and fancy a little pampering. Do pop into Simply Nails. The girls there are lovely and their nails are devine. You won’t regret it.

They look fab! I had never had anything like a modern manicure (that wasn’t attempted by myself at home) until about 3 months ago when Abby (my partner in the blog) took me to get white tips and french manicure!! Now I am addicted but have to admit I went a bit far this week with a fluorescent pink/orange that looks way more bright in daylight than in the shop so back to french next time- but what a luxury having to not do your own nails- I am a convert and love your mermaid ones! Go glittery girl!!#fortheloveofBLOG

Ah a french is always nice to have. Have you tried the french ombre? It’s a modern take on the classic french manicure. Check it out if you haven’t already, it’s a gorgeous look. Thanks for reading and commenting.

I absolutely love that colour. I am shellac girl myself, when I ever get chance to get them done! I would definitely opt for that colour though they look beautiful. Thanks for linking up to #fortheloveofblog
